I like how you handled Peyton. This gives her time to come to terms. To see the guardians reactions to her. Perhaps she even swipes information from the guardians as a gift. I'm wondering if she ends up in Bradford. It would be odd/off if she just suddenly vanished, by joining Michael. Being put there lets her be useful setting up/running the kingdom, while not vanishing to the dark forest. Could tell her to spy on Bradford. Hope you are feeling better.
