I think the entire family is hypocritical now. Also feel sympathy for the elder siblings of Elle, cause the grandfather and yanyan could also reach to the siblings and they choose not to. They can't blame the siblings for not reaching out, they were children's and no one stopped each party from reaching out right. It's not like the so called loving grandfather and yanyan doesn't even know how their mother and father right. I think they just don't care about the elder sibling as they say to be. The hypocrisy reached another level. Just my thought, I might be right or wrong.
You never mentioned taking care in the dark either. If yanyan visiting weimin without his knowledge is taking care in the dark you mentioned, I would say it's useless. Because they will never know about these, what are they? orphans? getting donations secretly. Also kids were young so what, they are elders and they could be bit more understanding and try again. But they didn't. I sorry for writing these things, but can't stop it. This Wai is reminding me of my best friend, who is suffered exactly like her not anymore though(she got rid of those hypocrites). I don't know why you'd call them hypocrites when clearly, they have long been taking care of the siblings in the dark. Why else would Yanyan know about Xiang Weimin's accident and even especially go over to see him in dark? Yes, they are partial towards Raelle. But that does not mean they have never done anything for the other two.
