well..while I'm really happy with this conclusion - on question remains: what's with the token he had? Wasn't there a special token guinding him to the realm, like a key or whatever, when he moved to the event at the beginning?

rRandom:So the token was something that still has a purpose going forward in the future, but in regards to the Divine Realm, it was a trigger for the monastery to open their trials. If John had shown up with the token, it would have been used for entry instead of buying one of the other tokens, but that knowledge has been lost to time so he didn't know about it.
