why dId it end there??? 😭 This chapter. THIS chapter. is everything! I had faith in Elias to not be a bonehead when it came to Adeline’s threats and boy did he not disappoint. He doesn’t let his ego take the front seat and knows when to let his pride down when it matters. The raw vulnerability of his apology and his profession of love is just..ughh so so good. It might look weak for him to succumb so easily, but for a man like Elias, it takes a lot of strength to go against pride. Elias may rule the kingdown, but Adeline controls his heart to do with it as she wishes - now that’s power.
