Dispite his age he is basically a boy, and a boy needs a male rolemodel, and all the older women emascumate him, calling him stupid, not giving him any information and basically letting him sink in foreign environments. Given his previous history of abuse and rape he is likely to turn into a serial killer or a shell of a man who waits on the opinion of women to know what to do, and neither sounds interesting to read.
