That's a reasonable way to look at it. It wasn't random--they purposely didn't assign him a wife and then sent him on dangerous missions because he's defective. Probably something Long Yuehong would conclude about himself. If we take "Luck" out of the equation, then surely someone or something is placing Long Yuehong in extraordinary situations.
