Shouldn’t his abilities be affected by the damage being done to his body? He seems unaffected by the point that his circulatory system has shut down and he isnt breathing ? How does this affect his qi usuage and storage? Sorry if my question is confusing.

Well, at least when he stopped being stupid, he was actually pretty effective in the situation.

After 3 chapters I am still confused about the world they are in, from some of the details, it suggests a more modern type of world but hasn’t been really confirmed yet. Also 3 chapters to describe how dense a character the mc is, considering his cultivation level, background (he is the sect leader), and his vague age ( but I am assuming his relatively old, from this moment on, I am now expecting him to stay relatively this dense, otherwise very smart decisions will feel like forced plot. There is such a thing as character growth, but that only really works on a characters world view and maturity, not their intellect (unless he starts as a child).
