Absolutely spot on; with this level of writing, the sky's the limit, but don't let this get to your head too much. Quality could go down the drain. It's that good! I hope it does not happen, and that is, please do not take the spotlight off the main character. What is the driving force (ALFA PRIME) and by extension, the world around him? how he reacts to what is coming, and how the world will have to accept any course of action he may have to take for the survival of the human race weather, they like it or not, of all the human alfas out there, his vision is the clearest of any others.
Hold up, how does he gain the 5* looted stats in his status? I thought he has a primary and a secondary status for normal and in inverse? Does he get his looted stats added on after he exits inverse? Or can he just not add looted stats into his secondary status unless he’s in inverse mode? Also, not a cool move to stop him from advancing for 10 days. He can’t level or anything. He could have just advanced and then got his looted affinities. Unless he gets a bonus when he does advance, then its a cool move Also thanks for the story, keep up the good work!
Okay, now this is actually just plain stupid. The A.I is stupid. If Jay had just merged with only one talent, he could have evolved by the end of the day. This would have solved so many problems. 1. He wouldn't be stagnated for 10 days at reaching lvl 25 and could have kept on leveling up. After evolving he could have merged and lvl up the rest of the masteries. And it was nowhere written that it would benefit him somehow if he merged and lvl up the talents before evolving. 2. He would got the title "day x, tier x evolver", even if it is only 2 or 3 extra stat points, those are still stat points, in 100 lvl that would mean 200 to 300 extra ponts. 3. You yourself said jay is very cautious since the betrayal. So why does when he only need Dante for his fate stat, he is giving the complete history of system and the monsters? I'm not saying he shouldn't, but it goes completely against the character you have played jay to be. There was a fourth point that I forgot.
Its perfect, the MC needs gear and Dante needs to survive. This is an entire topic altogether but I do hope the MC starts trying to multi task with his training of mastery's. By that I mean training one of the elements alongside one of his weapons. Along those same lines, there is the whole aspect of having so many weapon affinities without the ability to change weapons very quickly mid combat. So next time he gets the chance to think about a skill he need and receive it from the system as a reward, he should think about an instantaneous swapping of weapons skill. Or the ability to store them on his body like in a tattoo on his arm as long as it is something that reacts quicker than taking them out of his inventory. Also, he needs to start planning his own character build, for lack of a better terminology. What weapons he will use in what situations and what weapon affinities he still needs in order to shore up his weaknesses. Along with choosing weapons for his current affinities. For instance, he has two spear affinities, I dont know which ones he should chose. If all polearms are considered spears, then personally I would choose a halberd(as one) and a short spear with a shield(as two). Of course then there is the elemental aspect of his build and what elements he still needs. What elements to use in what situations, etc. He should honestly talk to his sister because she is a nerd so she probably knows a lot about DnD and other ******** roleplaying universes. Pick a few classes from any universe, mix them together, take out what you dont like, and then stick to that build. Then go hunting for skills and abilities that help fulfill that build. Only taking stuff outside of that build when its too good to pass up. But then after he would have to re assess what that ability or skill does for his build and change his fighting style to accommodate that change.
