The whole shirt number deal feels so forced to make drama. I mean, he's a black player in the most racist league, theres more natural drama to find.
Pfisch:Oh it can absolutely happen anywhere, but to the degree where a man that said this (see picture) didnt face sanctions in his own country? And I agree team leaders go for skill above all. Atleast in healthy teams, but thats not what I meant. I meant that the whole shirt number issue feel forced. I would understand if its like Zlatan at his peak demanding a rookies number, but right now in the setting of the story it doesnt make sense for me that they introduce such a element of discord. Ive noticed that my comment became rather long and I hope it doesnt sound like im that "angry reader demanding change" I simply felt it odd, and a interesting topic of conversation but have no intention of forming my opinion on the writing based on one chapter, for all I know you will weave this into the story in the coming chapters.image
I think Zach is realistic and considerate, his arguments for the most part is sound as to the shirt number. He is also being humble, this is a bigger stage for him hence his humility is admirable. A shirt number does for some players have significant meaning, its not just a number, its also its weight and responsibility. Zach, I think understands the weight of a number 10 football shirt, its not just for show.
