Yep, Wilkomir is more boring in this period. No stakes, no threats, has lots of advantages unlike in Polish Lithuanian Common Wealth — he's more engaging because of the surrounding enemies, politics, and well he's less of a father. What I think is: Even though he unifies Viking domains, it's still hard to conquer Christendom. And based on the geographical, economic, political system and beliefs; It's close to impossible to annex it.
speaking of dragon's I think he might be able to create a hot air balloon but then again they could be shot down and stolen but it could be interesting seeing vikings jumping from ropes like a swat team infiltrating a castle while it's night and planting explosive in certain areas to cause most of the guards to protect the capital building where the king or jarl is while taking city easier depending on how defensive the whole city is. (fruit for thought)
