Wow Mr. Wrisberg hopefully you didn't slap him in front of pack members. Ashton was a kid when he disappeared 8 years ago. What happened to him was out of his control. He didn't willfully abandon Caleb. If Ashton had been trained properly in defense he might not of disappeared. Mr. Wrisberg needs to accept Ashton and get over the fact he didn't get to pick his mate. When is Ashton going to find out about Connor??
I did not expect that! Actually, I've been worrying about Connor all this time that Mr. Wrisberg did not even cross my mind. On that note, Author, why isn't Caleb mentioning Connor? I mean, he's not even thinking about his son. It comes across as though Caleb is not close to Connor. Like, not even a little bit. Even if he has other things to worry about... It really seems like Caleb forgot that he has a son. And the irony is that all I can think about is Connor. I'm sure many other readers are also thinking about Connor constantly. Back to the point. I somehow feel that Mr. Wrisberg was not entirely wrong. I don't mean that Ashton deserved the slap. But I feel like Mr. Wrisberg did that not because he hated Ashton, but bcos he was also worried about Ashton and Caleb. No matter how much he comes across as a willful person, I believe that he loves his son and he must have felt tortured to see Caleb go through 8 years of pain. He needs to vent, and blaming Ashton is the obvious (but not ideal) choice. Bcoz it was indeed Ashton's fault, though not intentional. I would even go as far as to say that he was worried about Ashton to some extent and according to most parents/elders, it is indeed a major crime to make them worry about you. Did I go a bit overboard? Maybe a little? But that's my concept of a parent's heart. P.S. Pleaseeeeeeee bring back Connor soon.
I think dad was right and Ashton deserved that! He abandoned his mate to search for a past that had nothing to do with his present, and in the process he hurt Caleb and made him go through the hard period of his life alone, as an omega this had to be extremely painful and to make it worse the pack started to disrespect him not a good thing when you are also the town Sheriff raising a child alone. Now look at how wide the gap between these two mates have become, not only age, but now personalities, maturity, life experiences, appearances..... Will they be able to rekindle their love and bond. Remember they weren't fated mates but chosen mates.
