Demigods have a certain resistance to the elements of their godly parent. To stun Asteria , daughter of Hecate will take all three if not more to stun her. They also have unbelievable awareness of their surroundings otherwise every quest will just be a death sentence. Even if she did not wake up when Hermione intruded, she she should be able to hold herself for a short period of time. I don’t know if she is alone or is Thalia with her as well but if she is with Thalia then it is even more absurd to creep up on Asteria. Thalia is the lieutenant of Artemis, she is on the same level of combat prowess as that of Percy, Jason, Nico, Clarisse and Frank. Even if she isn’t with Thalia and was stunned by the three after a fight she should have the mental fortitude to resist its effects. Veritaserum is created using magic( her mother’s domain) and as demigod it only at their lowest will they succumb to mental attacks. They will be surprised but will be quick enough to protect themselves. I don’t know if the last para is valid here or not for it was a long time ago did read the books but at the moment I am going with demigods being greater than Hogwart’s students.
