Maybe the injury suffered by Anja prelude the connection to Cyberpunk 2077? If Afton wants to 'repair' her he will need to create cybernetics or perhaps invent biosculpting like the one used in Elysium? Or put her on cryo to wait until he can build such thing. Or there are similar tech existing in one of the Vaults? Alien tech perhaps? So many paths to take.

I'm so glad this arc is over. i love the story but, this has been by far my least favorite arc. i had to stop reading the book for almost a month before finishing this section. throughout this whole part it seems like Afton has been nerfed and his intelligence decreased.
