Re-thinking about this again. 🤔🧐🤔 Looks like Alexander is using physical intimacy as a way to show his love to Thea. But this is where there is somehow a disconnect. Thus the reasons behind Thea's rumblings about being used as a toy. Ah.. the classic headache of Mars vs. Venus. I think he also need to focus his attention to work on connecting with Thea on an emotional level as well. 😗😙😘

I think you’re writting it well, because you’re not just focusing on the act itself. During these ‘exercises,’ we’ve gotten to know the characters better. The Duke is genuinely very gentle and caring, while the Duchess is actually attracted to the Duke. She definitely likes him to some degree, and it is in part through their ‘exercises’ that she’s come to know about herself and about how she regards the Duke.

These smut scenes are pretty mild tbh. Some of the stories make me blush (Which i love Lol), I wish they had more of how she’s feeling during (emotions) but other than that it’s fine.

Noticed your comment/question about the smut... as you already know from another of your works that i enjoy reading, I have complained about how romance novels often go overboard on the smut turning it into a written p**** scene. However, i can say that i honestly enjoy your work. You have a good balance of not only the amount of smut content (they are after all a married couple and it’s not forced into the storyline), but you also describe the scenes well without going into so much detail that it turns cringy- mapping out every detail. You create a healthy feeling and connection between your characters and readers.

Its good that you have warning before the start of the chapter and as long as its not force also its not super detailed (I like it that way...
