Thanks for the chapter, and as for it being a non-match chapter, that in itself is fine, you're telling the story of Blaise not the story of blades. So knowing what Blaise does around matches and the things that are important to him provide context to who he is on the field and what he wants, as long as it serves that purpose it's fine. As for how much non-match to match you should have, that is up to you. But if December is very busy in regards to matches played you might be able to create that same effect by having very little time between matches as that is what Blaise is experiencing himself. And take some more time away from the matches in January to focus on friends family and training as he has some more time to think of non-football things. As for the balance you've struck so far, I think it's decent although a bit more on the side of non-football recently. But to be sure I'd have to reread the whole thing as it's been a while since I'd read the earlier parts.
