I would not want to be the magus fighting Emery when the lives of his friends are on the line. Grand magus or not, he’s in for a word of hurt.

Emery still hasn’t used his darkness or his twik combo yet they will realise their mistake soon enough
Emery ends up capturing the magus and threatening their lives in front of the Grand Magus, thus gaining a new faction enemy and diffusing the situation for the time being lol That's how I see this unfolding
