I feel very bad for Shura; she was used as a pawn to save the princess & Annara most definitely did not lay down all the facts, she could have told her the major fact; EMERY IS NOT AWARE HE HAS A DAUGHTER!!

Chapter 2040 delves into Shinta's profound emotional and physical manipulation, leaving readers questioning how she manages to seemingly recover by the chapter's end. Authors often resort to such narrative devices to drive future plot points, yet the execution in this instance falls short. The portrayal of Annara's character feels inconsistent. also for Shinta, with her initial despair swiftly transforming into resolute determination without sufficient depth in just one chapter?? The excessive manipulation employed in the narrative has led to a loss of appeal for this novel. Despite owing much to Emery, Annara's failure to disclose the truth about Shinta's father feels implausible, particularly given her own experiences of abandonment. This inconsistency begs the question of why Annara's character development couldn't have been more substantial and consistent. Moreover, the glaring absence of romance in the storyline has rendered Emery's character somewhat robotic. His analytical approach to every situation, coupled with his indifference even in non-romantic contexts, leaves much to be desired. The narrative often feels like a series of summarizations, lacking the depth and engagement needed to captivate readers. Klea's admission of her affection for Morgana is a mere fleeting mention, indicative of the overall deficiency in romantic development. It's conceivable that the author's involvement of family members in the writing process may have contributed to the neglect of romantic-comedic moments. Even Klea's attempts to encourage Gwen are cursory, consisting of only a few sentences. Emery's behavior comes across as monotonous and lacking in human emotion, meanwhile too much of his calculated strategies in dealing with adversaries. The overarching absence of romance raises questions about Emery's ultimate goals, leaving readers like me to think if romance serves merely as a means to humanize him once more. Furthermore, Emery's failure to recognize the potential advantages of cultivating a harem in a magical world seems incongruous with his otherwise astute intellect. Ultimately, he appears more akin to an ancient automaton than a relatable human character. this novels is dropping its ability to help us readers be able to immerse themselves into MC. side note: klea's wagging tails to visiting officer from magus alliance was absolute pathetic.

Why wouldn’t annara explain why silva gave her up and why her emery never came looking for her. It would clear up so many misunderstandings
