I mean besides putting his title as Savage Acolyte (seems pretty famous to me) a public fight showing he can fight toe to toe with a grand magus would do wonders

Couldn’t he just fight the instructors and advance through the halls?

not saying he should do this, but within the rules, can he request a 20 or so minute spar with a grand magus? I think this would work to show he is capable, but will likely antagonize the grand magus making another enemy in the long run; not to mention showing cards to other enemies

If anything he could help each acolyte as much as he can and then those acolytes can advertise Emerys class with their ability. Emery showing any of his skills would be dangerous since we don’t want the enemy to know anything about him.
