there has to be some backlash from Emery to jinkan. she fully intended to trade him if they brought eeshoo. I would say something along the lines of killing eeshoo for revenge, but 1. you said that eeshoo and jinkan are going to be important in the future. 2. nephilim control earth. still, I feel like it would be too unrealistic if emery didn't screw over the nephilim Prince and Princess in some way for trying to trade him and then trying to use him.
I've really enjoyed this novel but the constant restricting and nursing of Emery is really getting tiring. Before chapter 1000 his strength peaked to rivaling a grand magus with support of the primordial wisp. We got a taste of his future and the moment we got back there and he defeats Zenonia (at a cost) he is thrown backwards in power, understandably so. then there is a series of time skips and healing and oh no can't regain my strength yet, I have to do 20 more side quests, and oh the main reason I'm didn't do this thing YEARS ago I'm gonna throw away now and reveal myself to the world, but it's fine I'll just go live elsewhere for a few more years instead of trying to regain my other half. I get we need story progression but it feels like he is being railroaded from one place to the next and just dragged around and being nerfed left and right and at this point him regaining all his power and advancing to a peak magus feels like he will barely compete against a mid grand magus. On top of Emery's unsatisfying journey the amount of ret-cons and changes in the story universe as a whole to make things fit the current story better, particularly the abyss creatures. Like the gargoyles went from being impervious to physical attacks to only damagable by physical attacks..... I just don't know anymore
