Seems to me like Emery's advance is mostly guided by luck and not intentional progress. Always making irrational decisions based on feelings but still somehow benefiting from the stroke of events, as if being a puppet of fate. I enjoy the story while rooting for him as the MC, but I can't respect him.

I hate emery as an mc he thinks so slowly and has no idea of how to progress forward, it's annoying he is meant to be as smart as his power level ,but he is not his decisions are based on emotions how does he intend to be a magus without going to earth
