It also appears that the commander forgot that many high tier artifacts are typically sentient and often more intelligent than humans. Essentially, he placed his enemy on his own back without making sure his enemy was secure. He probably could not place the wisp within a storage space or storage ring however he could have brought along some type of container to keep its power contained. My guess is that he is (was?) too arrogant for his own good

I'm figuring in the chaos emery gets to use devour on the stage 6 get the energy he needs for the rest of his pillars hopefully advance to magus because this fight will help his understanding of the laws, and get the wisp to but that is asking for alot
