I can absolutely tell you that Emery's character is mess up. It's mostly irritating and disappointing because he cannot understand the situation surrounding him and ignorant of emotions. He always acts like he doesn't know girls thoughts at all. Despite many intraction he's dense as the author summarise. It's absolutely unnecessary of him to continue to go to that level to make mc still dense after he have gone through. Life experiences matters but you need to remember it's a novel. Making readers irritating over mc development continue will jeopardize such a good novel especially emotions recoil and such
