MF, Julian's just power hungry, like he was in real life. And if this based off of real life at all then Emery is probs going to end up killing Julian one way or another.
MonkeyBone:What are you talking about man? Thrax killed Roman women and children. What is Julian supposed to do? He's a Roman. He grew up in Rome, his allegiance is to Rome, he loves Rome. People just reading this like, "Roman's bad, slaves good" without actually considering that it's a lot more complicated for the people involved. Honor is great concept in stories and a stupid one in actual prqctice. One does what one must to win a war.
It's interesting to see that Julian is a coward, well really that's how it is looking. He will only actually fight if he is certain he can win, and won't actually fight head on, instead using tricks based in magic to thwart Thrax. It's surprising that he's so afraid to fight him, there's really no other way to look at it. I realise he's Julius Caesar, who gained the future notoriety, but still disappointed. It will be I teresting to see whst happens when they all meet up with Klea and Emery. đ€
