I'm sort of mad at you author. it's not as bad as what I feared you would do and the fact she is "safe" makes it better. I still don't like it though. an extreme example (and probably the worst) of what I was expecting as a possibility is what happened in Apotheosis. the manhua had the mc's sister imprisoned in her sect, then kidnapped for an old man's ritual. then after hundreds of chapters he finally beats the guy in a big war, only for two random guys to come in and steal his sister because he needed motivation to grow stronger. God I hated that so much. I've despised that type of plotline ever since.
