Very disappointing. He is trusting to a stranger but not to people he has bonded with and has seen that they go to lengths just to keep him with them and do not feel that he is a burden.

His decision to hide his strength from his only friends and ALLIES is one of the stupidest decisions Emery made so far. And I don't even understand why he couldn't show them his stats without revealing the dragon. He's not under some truth-telling-curse. Just say you can't reveal how you trained and done. I feel like Emery hardly grows at all. He tries to learn lessons, but then uses that knowledge in a completely stupid direction. He is meant to be careful with his enemies and strangers...not his allies.

I think he could have shown them his progress without revealing the dragon. you are just trying to keep pushing him away from people. my guess is that he will secluded himself from them and then they will get hurt and he will blame himself.

Well I enjoy that the main protagonist group caught up. I mean they have not seen each other in a year so it is only natural to tell your friends how have you fare. It is just sad how emery became so paranoid due to his betrayal but it makes sense

what's the point of keeping it a secret when he is going to match/outperform then at the games anyway? kinda pointless. pretending to be weak but everything he does proves otherwise

I'm pretty sure a few chapters back or showed that he already had 90 spirit power and a little further back that 100 was what was needed to reach rank 6

I am a little disappointed in his decision to keep secrets from them, though I can understand where it is coming from. I only hope he will grow enough to find people he can trust, and trust whole-heartedly. And then do so.
