Friends, comrades, and in between I am afraid I cannot continue to read this novel. it's one of the best ones I've found to date it's just I'm broke as **** and I'm already struggling to catch up to two other novels. I apologise and I take my leave

Well, I guess I'm stopping here. Enjoyed the story but this is definitely a slow pace, world and character-building story with action on the side that will eat too much money with little return. I find the characters interesting but that interest does not mean I'm invested or care about their motivations yet. Additionally, you were right to add moments of action/tension earlier in the story because I was close to dropping it (bored). Bottom line: Good plot, slow pace with side characters that lack depth and therefore cannot connect with the audience.
