Could you have a Jedi similar to Qui-gon, a Jedi but one that is less of a zealot to their teachings, but still a pacifist. Or you could have a Jedi from any of the pre-cannon wars, like the great hyperspace war. Idk just an idea.

For the jedi suggestions I recommend taking some inspiration from the knights of the old republic 1 and 2 games not the online multiplayer version Another suggestion is using the concept of the one true force instead of light vs dark with those types its more about maintaining the balance between the opposing forces as in theory when every any side eclipses the other things go wrong on a universal level Hope this helps

pretty sure in SW cannon the ones that always negotiate are consulars but there were also guardians (that do what the name implys guard things) and sentinels (which were more like anakin and had them "aggressive negotiations with a lightsaber"). when a padawan becomes a knight they choose the path they want, they normally choose the same as their master but not always anyway tadaaaa cannonistic way not to be negotiator
