Almost tempted to drop this after that. I myself dont like tons of plot armor, but that was just wrong on to many levels. You could have had her die, but there was no reason to add the r*pe. I myself am an auther that delves into the more dark side of things, but you dont build a close relationship with the MC and then do something like this while having the MC do what the did. To far, way to far.
I do understand why she died but i kinda thought she would live. Not for plot armour or anything i just thought she would die later, like on the way to the lion place or the last day. I also thought she would have a different death, she would be fighting but the others left her behind so she died, its still similar i just thought it'd be different.
