Arrested

Sarah's POV:

I was deeply lost in thought. Trying to connect the dots, "Elma," Mrs. Tyler took me out of my trance.

"You should have told us about Sarah, you know."

I nodded and fiddled with my hands. "Anthony also told me that Amber is her daughter."

I didn't tell him that; did he just assume? "He said you brought her home and lied that it was a friend's daughter; he also said you cared for her a lot, and that was because she was your niece."

"She is so cute; I saw her at the event yesterday. She wanted to be a model, right? I will personally manage her," she kept saying with an excited tone.

"How did Sarah react when she saw you?"

I bit my lip; the question should be how Elma's reaction was when she saw me. I didn't want to lie anymore. "Can we talk alone?" I questioned her, and she nodded.
