I really hope she develops a bit more self confidence/ self reliance ... given her wits and martial arts prowess she could easily fake her death and escape from her prison, and she could easily crossdress and become her uncle's adopted son and live a more fulfilling life. But I guess then it will become similar to your first novel I guess
