author san, I know you said you wanted to create a unique cultivation story completely different from the generic crap that fills this site but....You're straight up checking off every generic xianxia trope one by one. And you're implementing them extremely clumsily.
I guess its somewhat understandable. But you're a touch insane if you expect people to read through 400 chapters they're not a fan of before getting to where the novel gets good. Maybe it turns into an amazing novel, that would be lovely, but there's not a chance of me slogging through the hundreds of chapters of prologue and setup to get to something I'll enjoy. As is the first couple chapters just seem like a massive bait and switch, leaving myself, and probably many others dissappointed. good luck in writing
shinigami8671:Mate, there is a reason I left the first 110 chapters free. (There were close to 300 actually but WN didn't let me, but I'm not complaining). 90% of the novels get locked around chapters 60 but I still kept it open for so long because everything before that point is just a prologue, a homage to the HUNDREDS of wuxia/xianxia novels that helped me deal with my own issues when I was younger. There are bits and pieces of what I meant by "Unique aspects" scattered across these hundred or so chapters which should only act as an introduction to the world, nothing more and nothing less. The current arc (CH 400+) and when he left the kingdom for the first time are what the rest of the novel will be like. To give an idea, when MC comes across the three bells, the various mysterious creatures and the monster hordes is what I want the story to be like,
