Wow! Very well explained--that darkness from Emily's past is crazy scary! It helps to know what happened & what everyone else SAW in that roadside ambush scene. And now Emily knows, too! No wonder she felt the need to make such a rash decision...and leave-- to learn how to keep herself safe, and also protect her brothers from the dark abyss of her past!
