i had discussion with author about the numbers, and just like everyone else, I was also unaware of the 50% decrease in the physical attacks. i hope that everyone else has also understood why the numbers were like that in the last chapters. but man, author has done some good research and well thought out everything. we can see that in this kinds of little details
What I didn't knew about was that not many people knew about the decrease in attack from the burned effect, It is well known on the game, physical attacker are screwed after receiving Burn effect. Paralizing decrease the Speed and sweepers can get destroyed after receiving It. Frozen status let the affected open for attack, Poison and Severe Poisoning are Diferent effects, normal Poisoning tales a little health every turno, but toxic can KO the pokémon in about 6 Turns and It only get strong after each turn. Toxic Stalling is one of the competitive ways to fight, the Classic setting is Setter with field effect or Batom Pass with buffing effects, followed by a Sweepers and a wall with status inducing effects.
Just as an advice for the author, I would recommend avoiding giving exact numbers on attacks and such even if there is a machine to measure it. Based on the fact in this world of damage locations matter (like head usually crit, legs can be crippled to slow, etc.) and obviously pokemon has a huge biological differences and weak points. So because all the previously mentioned reasons the numbers doesn't really help that much to determine how much actual damage has been done, but if numbers are given it will give basis to a lot of arguments. Even if you want to give more of an example how strong is something its better to use a more vague term like more than double or its power increase differently based on the level of the status condition to avoid future arguments or feeling of inconsistencies. Of course this is only my personal opinion and "taste".
