So how is no one mentioning the fact that he had no repercussions for not only disobeying direct orders but also placing his unit in danger which lead to desth and serious injuries? Sengoku told him to wait for reinforcement and not engage? He disobeyed both. He should have been suspended or at least reprimanded.

I actually like this chapter it focuses more on the outcome than the struggle, i wouldnt really put internal destruction in blaize hands this early considering it is literally a huge leap in strengh if mastered.
