Way too much usage of 'this'.
'this aura'
'this glossy colour'
Rather use 'a' or 'an', 'this' would indicate that we have already been introduced to the thing you are mentioning for the first time.
We have not been introduced to it yet.
I cant enjoy this at all. The mc is snarky and unlikeable and so are all the other characters. I really cant find myself rooting for him so i will stop reading here.
