Well.. if most of the folks don't have a surname you wouldn't say "Ohh! So you're normal wow blah blah." right? It's like saying: - Hey my name is Tom but it doesn't have 'z' in it. - Hey Tom doesn't have a 'z' in the first place.. - Yeah what did I say?! Aren't you listening?!!! Downright unnecessary.
