These guys remind me of the adeptus mechanicus from Warhammer 40k. Praise the machine spirits.
They really gonna completely ignored the creature that escaped right before the flower was destroyed. It’s likely a messenger for the real mastermind or at least a major clue, and they’re just going “nah, it’s chill, no problems, let it go.”
