Wait how he can defeat their household guards? When he has no prio fighting experience? I get that his cultivation gives him a good bonuses and all n also the previous 'young master's' experience may have taught him lil about fighting but still I wanted him to explore a bit more regarding his introduction to this world's way of martial arts n fights. Maybe i am missing something.

writing is good, story is interesting but this is moving towards cliche chinese novel route. Also why cant he join some other sect. I bet he will participate and his ex fiancee will be a seeded contestant who was selected by an elder or a young master of the sect. he will defeat her and upset the elder or young master and then even if he is selected they will take revenge on him when he joins the sect....

I'm liking the novel so far, but I think that there are some things that you could show instead of telling us, for example, his fights with the guards. How does he fight? Did he already learn any martial art? He never fought in his entire life and can battle against guards without any problem at all?
