I feel like the MC is complicating it too much. I mean in MCU Stark alone was able to create a Gauntlet capable enough to hold the 6 stones. Can't understand why even with Strange and Selene's help it feels like it's a monumental task for hin based on how it is described in this chapter given his strength and capabilities. If a mortal alone with no powers and no sorcery involved was able to create it, then surely him creating one is very much viable. Anw, thanks for the chapter.

Uru is a pure metal that can channel magic, not just the stones but even in case of "Heart of the Universe" uru can theoretically be used as a holder. Alongside, Dargonite metal.
Primordial_Origin:At least twice. The first time it was used it still look pristine and perfect that is with the use of ALL infinity Stones. If he's only gonna use it for the soul stone alone even a two or three and especially given the time needed. Then it is the better option. It is way more easier to create, less costly, less complicated, etc. Generally making it a more economically and efficiently viable option than the one they planned here on this chapter creating. Even better it has lesser risk when creating it. No need for some maybe unstable or dangerous sorcerer to recruit just to make it. Plus less chance of an actual accident of happening while creating it. Furthermore no need to create more enemies by just getting the main material for the gauntlet, the Uru Metal, like what happened later on in the story. This then makes it a better choice politically speaking as well.
