Yea. Someone must have done something that made her think that her baby was possibly not Song Fengyan's. Then she went or was brought for an abortion that fell through at the last minute, but was charged anyway. Or she already paid & got the receipt for the operation & had kept it, even though it didn't happen. đ¤ At this point, I'd just prescribe the Empress & Devil's cure-all remedy for a successful relationship, i.e. communication. Song Fengyan deserves to know, even if the child might not be his. If someone was playing tricks for whatever reasons, Lan Xiyan should talk it out with someone trustworthy, since she's clearly not that smart (or maybe too naive, different distinctions). đ¤ˇââď¸ The baby girl hasn't asked much about her father to not make her mom sad. It's not necessary for the parents to be together in a romantic or marital relationship for the sake of the child. But all parties involved should still have a chance to know. The mother should stop directly or indirectly hoping that her daughter will forget about it. She's just a child. Even a genius kid is still a kid. Let her live happily as a child, without needing to have all those adult considerations (not saying to let the child become bratty).
