That is not how the amulet works. His conciosnes is IN the amulet. Once amulet is taken from him the vessel (body) dies unless it was in contact for more than 30 days. In such cases his countisosnes will be copied from amulet inside the body efectively becoming his clone. Once Timmy taken the amulet on his body was overtaken by Dr. Bright and follows rules stated above. Dr. Bright can posses Every gender of people, animals or any other living being capeble of continuous touch with amulet so things like insect can be excluded for now.
