I sonder ... Didn't Willian have plant manipulation as well ??? I think he got such a skill when he defeated groot ?! Also , he can feed Groot with a lot of magical plants with various unique peopeeties , poisonous plants with different kinds of poison (killing poison , aphrodisiastic, acid poison , neural poison , ...etc) That will enhance Groot's fighting ability ... Also , Groot will be able to recreate those plants and create otger plants which have better effects or multiple effects ....also , maybe Groot's wood can be used for crafting artifacts & armors & weapons , ir as simple building materials ... Groot can also get a minor godhood from ingesting a small part of Yggdrasil (the Tree which connects the 6 realms under asgard , and the source of its power , it is also connected to the welk of knowledge ... and the tree has some sort of consciousness)
