Personally, no qualms with minor characters like Zula and Zara getting killed off. But, I will like to caution the author against so many meaningless character intro -> character death cycles. So far most of the character cycles involve character gets introduced -> MC makes use of character -> Character gets disposed after no longer useful. It kinda gets dull after a bit. A way I think the author can rectify this is to introduce more fortunate/blessed characters. These characters also have their plot armors and stick around to be a nemesis to the MC.
