DamnPlotArmor
Here are the praises and concerns: 1. Grenades actually existed? Then, why does CJ solely focus on the development of grenade pills? Unless he is trying to develop a different type of explosive with different applications, the usefulness of his research is worse than we initially thought, and he would have been better off in creating new types of gunpowder and explosive arrows. 2. Nice move in giving Cao Mao his first mental strengthening technique!!! He can now strengthen his mental control, not get overwhelmed by his bloodlines, improve his Alchemy further, and create new types of Mystic Arts and Techniques. 3. I am surprised that Buddha was actually depicted as an ogre, but then again, there are more than one Buddha. Plus, even the most famous Buddha reincarnated countless times before he became the human who ascended to Nirvana by breaking the chains of Samsara, desire, and form..... I am now wondering whether the Huangjin Sect worshipped the past incarnation/life of the most famous Buddha, whether it followed an altered version of Buddhism, or whether it simply followed the teachings of one of the other Buddha. 4. Please take advantage of the differences thaf othordox sects have when compared to the other factions. If orthodox sects have the chance to confirm the presence of necromacy while crippling the Liu Dynasty and all the other factions, it would be a lot smarter to instigate a fight and then hide in the background while letting the fight get more and more out out-of-hand...... Moreover, to be fair, we have yet to be any strong-headed righteousness shown from the orthodox practitioners (they are not protagonists), and we have yet to see any of them demonstrate their natural hatred and destruction actions against the other factions.
Thanks for the chapter!!! So, it looks like the city might really be destroyed, since they are underestimating a protagonist from a powerful Dynasty. Even if they all team up, Liu Bian has enough plot armor and time to have sneaked an unit of strong subjects who can protect him in an obvious enemy territory filled with untrustworthy/cunning enemies. As a prince and a protagonist, he would obviously have various contingencies. At the same time, they all have to be idiots to trust Sun Wentai and the orthodox practitioners, since they have a very high chance of trying to destroy the source of necromacy and assassinate the obviously evil forces of demons and heretic practitioners who committed various atrocities......Well, this is assuming that every single orthodox practitioners doesn't throw away their pride and dignity to stoop as low as Qiang Han (by willingly assisting all the villains in getting without any form of hidden sabotage/trap for them).
