I think Alistair deserve that because once he was not value true friendship and love , care because he can't support his true love ones but Mariana is not good mother because she rejected Hera before born and after born and Hera suffered many because of her parents action

I don't feel bad for Alistair at all. He gave up on Mariana himself. It's because of his cowardice that Hera is being brought up by a foster family ,even though her parents are there. Mariana isn't any better than him. She totally gave up on her daughter. If it wasn't for Hunter ,Hera would have had no one in her life. Alistair deserves to be lonely without anyone.
