I believe it would be better if JY were more ruthless, serious, and less lighthearted in these confrontations, especially considering his recent loss of Jiajia. Maintaining the somber tone of his mood from previous chapters would enhance the immersion. There should be a palpable sense of urgency and decisiveness in his actions and words. The impression I got from this chapter is that he still appeared startled easily, looking a bit goofy, and didn't show enough firmness, as if he were behaving as his usual self, disregarding the fact that Jiajia had just passed away. Just my opinion, though.
