I know probs a anti spiderman a guy who seen the security tapes of Peter parker getting bit by a spider and tried to do it him self with a unstable one but the unstable one is slowly killing him and the only way for him to survive is to kill spiderman and use his heart. And for why he doesn't use his love ones as bate he only seen his back and accidently spilt coffee on the computer that corrupts the file.
Give a dark spider/shadow copy/clone version of your MC as a recurring villain. Like legend of zelda franchise's shadow link. A villain (or "villain" a.k.a. opponent) with the exact same abilities and capabilities as the MC, but that each time uses them in new ways, or uses new aspects of them that the MC never considered before. The stereotype of a 'villain training the hero' storyline, but still interesting if done well. Could be done in just dreams for a "battle inner self"/an interesting take on a way for him to improve on abilities (whether or not the 'other' one is just an aspect of his own psyche or actually the manifestation of another being/consciousness is up to you to decide). Or if not dreams could happen anytime he ends up knocked unconscious. Could be a symbiote that absorbed his powers (either directly fighting the symbiote in a mental space, symbiote bonded to another person [granting them MC's powers], or a spread of those situations) or any type of opponent that can mimic/copy/steal/borrow/simulate (illusions, magic, tech like far from home, etc) the abilities the MC has. Could be a 'dark version' of the MC created somehow or another, or a clone, or a possible future version/time traveler, or any other type of 'actual' second version of MC forcing them to get stronger. Basically there are a number of ways it could be done, and perhaps the best way would be to be as vague and mysterious as possible and/or use multiple versions to keep the MC guessing as to what is really going on.
