Lazyy
I don’t know about other energy’s but he should have chi (not that he has to use it or anything), cause it is literally the life force of living things, so unless he’s an undead or something he should have it. Not trying to dis muscle power or anything, just pointing out the fact that chi exists in marvel, and that all living things have it. Thanks for the chapter 🙂✌️
Stick with the muscle power man. It's not only new, as compared to some overused things, but it's also original and probably had never been fully explored. An example would be superman or hulk. Do they even use their full physical talents? No. They never had to. Your character already admitted in an earlier chapter that some may be stronger but I feel like your character instead of focusing on a myriad of different powers simply takes one and use it a myriad of different ways. Like the old saying of the guy not being afraid of a man that practiced a thousand different kicks but instead being afraid of the guy that practiced 1 kick a thousand times. Anyway sorry for the long rant! Just tired of seeing great characters with potential turn into the cliche of having everybody else's potential lol great story!
Personally, although I really appreciate the martial capabilities of the MC added with his physique, some sort of energy manipulation just kinda calls to my greedy side, I can understand not making him a jack of all trades because os personal reasons or dislike of mage/rogue types of MC's, and towards his muscle power I have nothing against it, have you ever read The Strange Talent of Luther Strode it's pretty much Gabriel's abilities with potential to total body manipulation. But my main reason is that I like being the master of all trades, especially in games like Skyrim that allow some freedom for custom classes, I guess the freedom and unlimited potential to develop towards anything, given time, is the main reason, a max lvl warrior/rogue/mage with all the benefits and abilities is my goal, better yet if is "neutral" or some sort personal energy independent of outside sources, like chi or aura/chakra, things you produce by yourself simply by living.
Id rather him not get mana or magic or whatever, I’m on board with chi or more specifically something like touki from DxD if you want to add it cuz I think it’s basically muscle power that glows lol, but seriously the hulk doesn’t have magic power and he does just fine so you do you and ignore the haters
You know I think the problem is we are so used to seeing the same cliche scenario where mc gets reincarnated/transmigrated, gets magic, becomes instantly OP(which btw kills the enjoyment of reading) that when we see something different we snap at it wanting the old cliche back. It's bad that there are few fics like your one that changes the scenes a bit. I really hope you don't drop this out of nowhere.
The main reason to an extent for me is that no species on earth will get that kind of control and power, and feels like bit of a waste for an immortal martial artist with skills built up over centuries to not be able to pass some of them on to disciples properly. Without serums the only path to superhuman for his disciples would be chi (and in Marvel it only really acts as a muscle enhancer anyway, it doesn't really do magic stuff apart from healing and shooting it from your hands). Also the idea of a temple of battle maniacs existing along with Kun-Lun and the Hand is hilarious. I have no issues with muscle strength as a path to power otherwise.
Practically some people are too dumb. Like has the mc reached his limit? No. So if he hasn't then why the fúçk would he train other shîts that will just slow down his own training. Like he has like 1500 years till thanos comes so why do people think he'll come at any second to clap the mc? Obviously they read too much wish fulfillment stories with MCs getting all kinds of powers in the start that is still increasing cause of 'plot' and they haven't even mastered it. Are they too paranoid that they'll think some characters will pop out of nowhere to beat up the mc? Of course, they read too much stories like that, that they'll think other stories should/must have them. If you take this opinion of mine seriously then you're the definition of idiocy.
As an answer to your personal question author, I believe that most people want him to use some type of energy because of how pure physical strength is normally viewed as more of a foundation while the energy type is used as a multiplier to that base physical strength. It is simply the way most power systems work to add a more mystical spin to normal strength gaining and to overcome human limitations that the MC doesn't have in the first place. New readers are just assuming that the same would be the case with the MC if he were to learn some kind of energy.
