Really enjoyed the backstory arc. She said it herself, only cared for siblings, so guess there was truth in the others character assassination.... Knife-kun was scarey..

not gona lie i find it interesting then she thinks of there comments as untrue seeing as that pretty much what all of them probably think as well, and with such a holy'er then tho personally I can see why they disliked her so much. now as far as the story itself goes I like your set up I personally hate the devour type system it doesn't really give the system holder much option in the evolution path other then just use other creatures powers instead of having her own but ill give it a shot since you seem like a good writer

Well the description mentioned multiple protagonists down the line. I thought they would be the others who were killed but with that last sentence maybe not.

Excellent backstory arc. The fact that you didn't reveal the nature of her death, but instead fed it to readers piece by piece, was a great storytelling trchnique. This chapter in particular had vibes similar to that of an Isekai anime.

That was a lot of unnecessary backstory padding. Could have made it much less detailed.
