Ahh new chapter!! I've been looking forward to the confrontation >:D Ok so, let's review over what new information we know from these past few chapters. (more for me to keep track of all the new information we've learned) - Joren's mom was taken away by bad people - The paper told Joren about Mare Desiderii - Zepherin is going to kill the professor - The professor's identity isn't as simple as we previously thought - The order knows something about the professor we don't - The professor is a high ranking noble in the Empire - The order's master deemed Professor Whitaker an important enough target to send in 3 (or more) assassins (I think that's all but I might add more later) Now let's go over some of this: Joren's mom was taken - odd detail to add in now, with the assassination of Professor Whitaker plotline being introduced. This gives us 2 outcomes; The kidnapping of Joren's mom is important to the assassination of Professor Whitaker, or it's a set up for another mystery, most likely related to The Order as well (possibly to hint that The Order is a very suspicious organization) Personally, I'm leaning towards the second option. Mostly because I can't see how Joren's mom is important to the assassination of Professor Whitaker. We know that Joren's mom used to be a student (and not just any student) so maybe she was entrusted with a big secret? (we'll have to wait for more information) Ok, next point. The paper told Joren about Mare Desiderii. This implies that the paper has a way to get information on the academy (possibly mentioned before that the paper had a "paper knows all" thing going on, I'll have to double check). Either way, a good thing to note. Now, the assassination of Professor Whitaker. We know now that he's a controversial high-ranking noble in the Empire. And that he's receiving letters from the royal family. This tells us that the Empire has a reason to keep tabs on the academy, beyond their crown prince studying there. We also know that he's been doing some shady business (possibly related back to the Empire??). We also know that he didn't want to become a professor, so maybe his position is important? (again, related to the Empire keeping tabs on the academy). Next on the chopping block, The Order. The Order we know is an assassin organization who kills high-ranking (confirms Professor's status) politicians and nobles who they deem dangerous. That brings up the question, who is Proffessor Whitaker really? The Order sent in 3 (known) assassins to take care of him, one of which being a highly experienced senior member, and another the next master/masters apprentice. What kind of security does the Professor have that needs that many highly skilled assassins? Or is the professor so strong that he needs multiple people to take down? The Professor's true identity also hints that Nurse Melinda's identity is also more complicated than we previously thought. As a nurse, she's an easy target for assassinations and in constant danger. She can't be a simple character (ah when are they ever (ಥ_ಥ), makes my job more fun tho lol). We also know that The Order has information connections in the Empire (slightly obvious before but it's confirmed now). So we can probably be expecting to see a character in the future who works for The Order as a high-ranking official in the Empire. Ok, phew. That was a lot (pardon any typos lol, didn't feel like getting my laptop open to type all this properly so you're stuck with this) So between Zepherin and Professor Whitaker, which one is the "good guy". Zepherin is carrying out orders from the master but there's also the possibility of The Order being an "evil" organization (more likely just takes drastic measures to ensure the safety of the people, but their methods won't fall in line with our heroone's beliefs so they become an antagonist). In this case, Zepherin would become an anti-hero of sorts, going against Ele in future chapter (I love this childhood f
